Ten Past Midnight
This book was created as part of the Visual Editor Elective at the Royal College of Art. The theme of the elective was Dressing/Undressing. I explored the idea by stitching into paper, to integrate a sense of the tactile and the sensual that is a part of that act, into the form of a book. In the final piece the red thread works aesthetically, formally and narratively; inviting the viewer into experience of reading the book. The compositions and drawn images also work in this way, moving over the gutter of the binding and exploring the structure of the book itself.
